I need help choosing my first car. Mustang vs Mustang vs MINI?

I will be buying my first car soon and I have a few choices to pick from. I'll have to pay for everything myself (insurance, fuel, maintenance, etc.). I'm trying to narrow my choices by choosing between a 2005 Mustang v6 (has 50k miles and is an auto :c) and a 2004 Mustang v6 (has 80K miles and is a manual c:). I found both of these cars at an auction site I'll be going to with my father next week (he's mechanically inclined lol truck driver) and I'm nervous since it's likely I won't be able to check for many issues other then auto check. I don't need much power so I don't mind having a v6 (because I'll work my way up to the newer models heh heh heh). Anyway, which should I choose should I decide to get a Mustang? I mostly need it to get to school and work; maybe an occasional mini road trip to LA (twice a year; I live in the Bay Area too so weather isn't a problem). Also, are they difficult to drive? The front seems so long on the 2005.... please take hating on the v6 elsewhere Also, I found a 2008 Mini Cooper for a suspiciously low price from a private dealer (4cyl, 79K miles but it used to be a fleet vehicle and I still need to run it through autocheck). I could test drive this one and run it by a mechanic but the seller lives 2 hours away... Insurance for the either of the two Mustangs would be around $60 a month with Geico (I'm 19 so I had to look for the cheapest branch I could find). My dad has a ford so he would be able to help me with the Mustangs. However, I don't know anyone with a MINI that could give me advice. I really like the MINI because of it's perfect size and quality but Im scared of what the fuel, maintenance, etc. could be like. I got a mail for recently applying for health insurance from Blue Shield of California. It says: Your coverage (individual) is currently paid 12/12/10. Effective 01/01/11, your monthly dues/premium will automatically be debited from your account on the first of each month.Your first debit will be in the amount of $142.09 to cover the period from 12/12/10 to 02/01/11. After this initial debit, regular withdrawals of $87.00 will be made on the first of each month. Ok, so I understand I am supposed to pay $87 each month. But I don't understand the initial debit where it says I have to pay $142.09. What is that amount for? What does it mean? Why is it covering from December to February? Almost about 1 to 2 months. Is that some sort of special payment everyone has to pay for health insurance? Can someone please explain this to me? I never applied for health insurance, so I'm not familiar with how things work. I am straight 'A' student, and I have completed the Driver's Education course at my highschool. My family does not really make that much money, but my parents would like to buy me a car at an exceptional rate. I am probably only going to live in Florida for another year, and then I am moving out to California. The guy kept telling me in bad English that he was ahead of me so it's my fault. and I told him that I didn't even move & he was the one changed the lane without even checking to see if it was clear. but he couldn't really speak english well or he didn't even want to listen to me. so I left like that with my sideview mirror dangling next to me. *sigh* this isn't the end of the story yet. I claimed his insurance company which ive never heard of. They said that he's telling them I was the one who hit their car. which made NO SENSE. I even have a picture of their car bumper's mark on my side of the car door which proves that there's no way I hit their car and left a mark on mine and broke my own side view mirror and left THEM no damages. His car was clear with one inch scratch on the side which was made when he hit my car after bumping into me with his bumper and quickly turning back into his own lane. I can't even believe how he can lie about this kind of stuff. I feel so mad that there're ppl like him existing!!! It's so frustrating to see the liar defending himself. His Insurance company didn't even try to look at my car & told me that they are sorry & they can not help me b/c their customer said he didn't do it. What should I do in this situation? I have no witness, there wasn't any police there at the time because they wouldn't send me any which is SO WRONG of them to do. I want to sue 911 people. grr. How can I possibly prove them that I have no faults and they should repair my damn side view mirror?!?!?! What can I do?

I am trying to claim a life insurance policy on my dad who passed a month ago.I was the beneficiary but Met life is hassling me and says that it was never on file.He paid forty years on a 10k payout and now they say the company he worked for told them there was no beneficiary when I am told by that company he worked for that I am most definitely am on the policy.My dad changed it over two years ago after my mom died who they also said was never on the policy!!! The woman said they will not except any papers from that company now as to confirming this due to it already being filed. They want me to get a paper notarized saying that i'm trying to get it but yet first want to know all my siblings names and their ssn so that it will be divided up or paid out to unpaid credit cards.Has this happened to anyone before? I cannot pay funeral expenses I have 7 greedy siblings who didnt help me one day in the last 3years of taking care of my elderly parents! I just went for a job interview this morning, and it seemed to go well. When I was asked if I had any questions about the company, I inquired about their health plan. She turned a little red and said they offered Blue Cross Blue Shield (not uncommon in my region), but then went on to say The company covers 60% and the employee, 40%). She went on to give an explanation about how BCBS charges the company based on the average age of all employees (which in this company's case, is about 45 or something). Anyway, my question is this: What do you think about that? 60 to 40 equation? I'm thinking that my 'out of pocket' (for family - my son and I) will be quite high, and my co pays at the doctor/dentist will be as well... Can anyone help please?
